Abstract
IceSL is a GPU accelerated modeler an slicer for 3D printing developed by our group.
IceSL uses recent GPU algorithms to speed-up the visualization and slicing process, and avoids the expensive mesh computations that most other softwares perform. IceSL can be freely downloaded from http://www.loria.fr/~slefebvr/icesl/.
I will present also a recent approach to offset solids in the context of fabrication. We define the offset solid as a sequence of morphological operations along line segments and propose two complementary implementations.
