The work "Modeling Gentrification as a Relocation Flow-Based, Spatio-Temporal Process" by Giovanni Mauro, Nicola Pedreschi, Luca Pappalardo, and Renaud Lambiotte was awarded the Best Talk prize at the Conference on Complex Systems 2024 in Exeter, UK .Selected among about 500 works, the paper shows how different income groups drive gentrification and propose new measures for tracking Gentrification, one of them acting as an early warning. It also finds that denser cities face higher risks of gentrification.
